I am a person who normally loves to have people around.. But there are these rare occasions when I want to be alone.. People push me to that extent, sometimes. I have had lessons.. Lots of them.. But I don’t seem to learn from any of them… At least till now, I haven’t…

Somebody taught me ‘You value me and shower me with all the affection, I will value you and shower you with all the affection’. Someone else taught me ‘You value me and shower me with all the affection, I will take you for granted and I will treat you like a piece of s**t’. Somebody taught me ‘Irrespective of whether you keep in touch or not, I know you value me, and hence I value you’. Another taught me ‘Until you start ignoring me I will not be bothered as to whether you are dead or alive’. Someone taught me ‘I know the person you are, I know you will always be there when I need you and I will care for you and treat you well, within my limits’. Woah!!! Too many lessons.. I’m sorry.. I can’t learn.. I wanna throw away these books and stay illiterate….

I am close to reaching some kinda saturation level.. Slowly going nearer to a stage where I wish I could say ‘I don’t care what you think but I am right according to my conscience and if you wanna take me for granted and treat me like s**t, then go ahead and be a loser!!!’

Onnume puriyala.. Indha paadam laam purinjika thani moola onnu kudu pa kandha!!!!! Adhuku odaikaren oru thenga….  :-)

Soniya and I decided to go to Madras University to meet someone regarding recruitment of a couple of business development executives.. It took me a whole hour to reach the place amidst absolutely annoying traffic.. When I asked for directions to IDE (Institute of Distance Education) building most of them asked “Regular a? Correspondence a?”. I thought IDE was only for corrrespondence ‘by default’. One of my friends informed me that they offer regular courses too.. For more details check my facebook status.. Likes, comments, damages, dhesiya vimarsanams, etc….

The concerned person had not come to office till then. It was 11AM.. So Soniya thought, during the time we waited we could try getting her MBA course completion certificate which was long overdue. When she spoke to one of the ladies, she simply asked her to come by 4 in the evening without even thinking as to whether it could be given at that time.. Guess it was a script that she followed to anybody who enquired..

Then Soniya met another person there who was supposedly in-charge of the course completion certificates. She brilliantly gave him her visiting card and introduced herself as a HR Recruiter and she was here to provide employment opportunities to students. He told her that his son recently lost his job and asked her if she could help him out. She agreed very graciously and asked for his resume.. I was a little surprised when he took one out of his table draw and gave it to her.. She said she will call him as soon as she reaches office.

Then came the course completion certificate process.. As soon as Soniya madam became know as THE HR RECRUITER, the course completion certificate that was supposed to be ready by 4PM was ready in another 15 minutes itself.. And yup.. You should have seen the ‘Naangalam Yaaru?’ look on Soniya’s face.. Triumphant!!

Back to the recruitment initiative.. We were first asked to meet the Director’s PA who directed us to Registrar who directed us to the Assistant Register who directed us to the Registrar’s PA.. We went through all the ‘ee kaakaa illadha paazhadinja buildings’ and finally met the great PA of the great Registrar.. He asked us to give a letter stating our objective, which we did.. He even refused to tell his name.. :-) Evlo ushaara irukaanga..

THE MADRAS UNIVERSITY FOOD COURT.. Adhaavadhu canteen.. It was like a proper picnic spot..

Oru vazhiya by 12.45 PM we left the place and got back to office.. Watte looooong journey!!
